My Droid 2 Global has no sound coming from incoming and outgoing calls

my brother just gave me a droid 2 global and when i try calling and when the person i call answers and says " Hello " i cannot hear anything or when I try talking they cannot hear anything... Can anyone help me!? I really like this phone but if it keeps messing up I'm gonna have to get rid or it..

I hope we get your Droid 2 Global working properly so you can continue to enjoy it! Does this happen when speakerphone is enabled too? I suggest we eliminate potential software concerns by performing a hard reset (http://bit.ly/rqKDhh). After reset and on-screen activation, make a call to see if the speaker is working properly. It could be a hardware related issue, and in that case, we need to verify if a warranty exists on the device. Keep me posted.

I have been having the same problem, and have had to remover battery, and then restart, which takes several minutes.  It is difficult because the phone should work period, and it is a pain.  This contunies to be a problem.
