Just wondering what app(s) you guys use to listen to music with your phone. I'm getting tired of bringing my iPod with me everywhere as well as my phone and wanted to start using something like Pandora, where you can just stream music and not have to actually load it onto your phone.
Also, what kind of damage does it do to your battery? I'm able to listen to music while working, and would *like* to be able to get a full 10 hour shift out of it, but I know that's just not realistic.

Anything that causes your data connection to remain on will have a negative battery effect, so Pandora may not be your best option, but it couldn't hurt to try it. One of my buddies at work has an X and says he can listen to music most of the day (through a bluetooth) and it doesn't kill his battery, though he has made certain "modifications" that may help with that. I personally use MixZing for my music needs, but with my Eris, my data connection needs to be turned off in order for my battery to last all day (not a fault of the app, the stock player is the same, as well as a couple others I have tried). Really, the best thing to do is try a few options and see what works best for you.

If you're just looking to play MP3 music, there are many choices. I for one like (free) WinAmp, as I also bought the software for my PC some time ago ... it also includes a bunch of live streaming stations to choose from.

I just listen to Pandora during the day at work. I've tried multiple things to get my iTunes music allowable to be played on my Droid X but everything I've tried does nothing.....until they upgrade it to iOS 5 and I can get my music in the cloud, then I'll just listen to Pandora

I would have to assume that you would not be able to access your cloud music with anything other than something running iTunes (cause that's how Apple does things). Have you tried double twist in the market? I've heard it works really well for syncing iTunes music and, if I remember correctly, even has a wifi option now.

I'm actually specifically looking to not have to use predownloaded MP3's. I've tried WinAmp but I just have way too much music than my phone can handle.
I want something like Pandora, but with a wider range of music. I've actually been told numerous times that Pandora uses stolen versions of songs, instead of the actual album version. Meaning, they've been recorded differently and sound different.
