Market trouble?

Is anyone having problems opening up Market? Not is opening it up slow, but no matter what I try to download, it takes forever! I have noticed this on my phone - Droid 1, my son's phone - Droid 2, and my wife's phone - Droid 2. I have tried rebooting, and programming by using  *228.

Help, please.

Thank you

I have provided a few steps below that may help.

  1. Remove both the market app and widget from your home screen.
  2. Try clearing the market applications information. I have included the instructions below:

3.   Try putting the device until safe mode (instruction given in the link below). Safe mode is a method that allows the device to run without non-essential applications. This is beneficial for troubleshooting 3rd party applications. If you do not experience the same issue while in Safe mode, there may be an application that is not native to the device that is causing an issue with your market/widget.

you do understand your phone is basically a miniature computer? and just as any computer the history is saved and has to be cleared occasionally or lag and clogging will occur. i have found a free easy to use app that achieves this end. on your phone go to market>apps>tap the search icon>type in history eraser>tap history eraser DUMAPIC (should be the second one listed)>tap install>open app>the easiest way to delete all history at once is the bomb>and depending on how much you browse the internet, call people, etc. is how often you need to delete your history. i do it about twice everyday. a factory direct reset should be used as a last resort if you cannot fix the problem any other way because it erases everything.

ive had an issue where i had to do a factory direct reset. my music worked for about a month then kept freezing on me. it wouldnt go back to the main screen or anything in the music player the screen just went black and my phone completely froze. however a hard reset worked for me. when you have an issue like this that can be resolved any other way this fixes it however i would use it as a last resort as a factory direct reset erases everything even backed up information on your sd card because everything is reset to the way when you first bought it out of the store. if you think this will work for you here is the quickest and easiest way i have found to do it:

turn droid 2 off

open keyboard and press x while holding the power button

device will power on

keep holding until a yellow triangle appears

press the magnifying glass on your keyboard

use the volume button to select wipe data/ factory reset

use camera key to confirm

tap wipe data/factory reset

then ok

highlight reboot system now

then ok
