MAC mail client on DROID X

Ok, now that I have read, re-read the entire list of thread/messages about how to set-up email I still can not get my MAC MAIL to work and get my email.

Yes, I have Verizon FIOS & my email is configured perfect on my APPLE MBP<macbook pro> laptop as well as my other household (apple) computers.  What is the hang-up with the email & the DROID X?

Any additional help would save me from throwing in the towel.

All other GMAIL, yahoo, Verizon mail is loading just fine on the DROID X.

I was having to same problem, i called in to data support and they were pretty helpful in walking me through the process of linking my mac mail account to the droid X device.  Give it a shot

I have had this Droid X for a couple of months and each time I call Verizon Wireless they haven't a clue on how to set up a mac account. If you can get someone to help you then please share the wealth... good luck!! I haven't been able to send e-mail and the screen jumbles websites so that it's pretty much impossible to navigate once you have the website you want. I hate this phone! I have truly downgraded from a smart iPhone to a dumb Droid X! It disgusts me that I have to pay for data when I can't even send an e-mail....geez!

Sorry for your issues and I sincerely hope you can get them worked out, but this sounds to be a classic case of:

"You can please all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you can't please all the people all the time."

When you say "Mac Mail"  do you mean your Apple "MobileMe (.mac)" account, or the native mail program on your mac? MobileMe webmail should, and does, easily sync with the DX, but the "Mail" program on the computer is more or less like Microsoft Outlook where it gathers web or exchange mail, but isn't set up to push the mail to another device....

The Mac Mail client is just for your Macs. You set up the acounts you get mail from within that software using the account info in the prefs within that software. If you've set up Gmail etc on the phone, if you still have another account in Mac Mail to set up, do it the same way. The values you see on the computer in Mac Mail Prefs.accounts should help you. If this doesn't work, call the mail provider for the correct values. Should not be a problem. As mentioned before Mac Mail doesn't have a thing to do with your phone.

No disrespect, but why everytime someone cant figure out something, they always blame the device?  Im just not getting this concept.

I just Google for the information and here is a article that covers this subject...  http://www.nexusoneforum.net/forum/staging/5269-android-mac-syncing-mail-contacts-calendars.html
