That is strange and yes, they are putting in only 2GB cards in new Droid Xs beginning the end of this month. I logged into my Verizon account and was surprised to see my current phone listed as Droid X Old. How strange that this phone is still a powerhouse and Verizon is trying to differentiate it now as a low tier phone. This is probably because of the Bionic and Droid X2 coming and differentiation of the product lines. But, you can buy a 32gb card from Amazon for about $50 anymore. Go for a reliable brand though like Sandisk.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I logged into my VZ account and also notice that my Droid X is listed as "old". I've only had it for 12 days!! But, at least it has the 16GB SD card... Thanks for the recommendation on SD card if I decide I need more...

My account says Droid X 16gb Version. Guess they now have a Droid X 2gb version. How much this has to do with the acquisition of the IPhone, or any of the new phones coming to your local store soon, I have no idea. Its like all the other terrific phones that Verizon once had and than dropped, I guess this too will soon be a phone for the history books.

Mine was listed as a old Version an i've got a 16GB card in it. I would think if its a new version it would just be the Latest updated software an with the 2 GB card when i got my incredible back in Sept.2010 it only had a 2 GB an i heard earlier Incredibles had a bigger card in them so on mine i pulled my 8GB card out of my BB an pute in my D inc. an its worked fine ever since. But not to much has been said on the X . so if has been updated it would be nice to know wear an how Much of a change has been done to it.

As for the Dinc, it always came with a 2GB memory card, the change that happened to that is the first batch used an AMOLED screen and the later batches use Super LCD.
