I'm having a little trouble with my kindle app. I tried to search a meaning of a word by pressing and holding the word, but nothing happens. Is there something I'm doing wrong? It worked a few days ago but I had to do a hard reset and now it isn't working.

Make sure you are using the default browser or the Dolphin browser as the default browser for the device.
Try closing the application and re-opening the application.
Verify setting by pressing menu, while using the Kindle Application.
