Are you sure you can?? With the Eris, there was no turning back.

If you're already going the other route, there's really no reason to undo it just to get latest OTA.

But you won't get any new patches or bug fixes either.

If you go the other route depending on which other route cause you know there are two now.  Both easy just one is a little more other routed if you follow.  Eh either way you can go back.  One can't be undone but it won't affect updates the other might but can be undone.

The other route is a slippery slope though.  Watch or you will get in too deep.

The route I'm using is undoable. It's all a very easy process, and mostly very safe. So just like AZSALUKI said, if u want/need the update that desperately, then go the other route, there is absolutely nothing to lose!

So when is 2.2 coming out? Seriously VZW? You are making a very old customer unhappy.

Personally if it is taking long for whatever reason, that is fine with me. I am in the computing world and I understand these things take time. What I don't understand is the secrecy. Can't you give us an ETA?

Thanks,

Customer since 2002

Its very sad when a company like Sprint can do an OTA of Froyo to all their Android customers over 3 weeks ago, and we're still waiting.   Come on VZW are you incapable of such a task?

Are your phones not working with 2.1?

lol at the Sprint comparison.

Sprints rollout was awful.

Their version buggy.

Sprint is the exact reason why Verizon is smart to take their time.

No actually the phone isnt working with 2.1, the audio quality is crap.

Almost every phone call i can only hear every other word.  The fix was supposed to be pushed out over a month ago.

And VZ actually started to push it out, then stopped, and stupidily decided to wait and roll it into Froyo.
