Lets say for the sake of argument that Dinc is getting OTA today, or starting today (16 July) - how will I know mine gets the update? 

 

And to clarify, what is supposed to be in the update?

Yeah...lets hope something comes down the line soon. 

 

Again, how does one know when their Dinc gets updated?  I am not at all familiar with this process.

The update is automatic. you won't miss it. running out of the 16th.... I hate date rumors...

Keep in mind that you can sign up for email updates from the website by clicking  on the Support tab and selecting Sign up for updates.  This will allow you to be one of the first to get information on new software release dates and new products and services. HTH!

I think this topic is a perfect example of irresponsible reporting on the internet... False reports produce false hopes and ultimately, frustration and confusion. I wish/hope that in the future that this "stuff" about OTA's would be based on "ACTUAL" evidence instead of speculation.

My question is for the verizon person. I emailed customer service twice and was told in the first reply that an update was to be released the 16th and may take up to a week to reach everyone. I emailed back when it was clear there was no e-mail released as I was told there would be. The person that replied to that message stated it could take a week before I get the update, indicating there was one. Its clear we have all been fooled that no such release had been released. Why are Verizon CS's giving out bad information? I can post both e-mails if you dont believe me. Sounds like Verizon is playing a part in the rumor mill here.  I am sick and tired of all the bad information, sadly from Verizons own people. What happened to that OTA that verizon stated not once, but twice by two different CS agents, that was released the 16th?
