Hotmail and Skype via Droid X?

Got my  DROID X yesterday.  2 questions:  (a) How do I access my Hotmail account?  (b)  Ditto Skype?  [Note: I use Skype only for international calling, so the fact that LD calls within the US are free is irrelevant to my question.]  Thank you.

Have you set up your hotmail account? If not, here are the perameters:

                                     Incoming                                             Outgoing

hotmailPOP3pop3.live.com995yesyessmtp.live.com587noyes

As far as Skype goes, don't know much about it, but I do know that there is an icon for it in the apps drawer.

Thanks for the parameters to set up my Hotmail account.  But I do already have a computer-based Hotmail account of several years standing. Do I have to set up a separate one for use with my DROID X?  If so, where and how do I plug in the parameters you provided?

No, if you already have a Hotmail acct, you do not need to set up another one. Just use the parameters in the previous post. Obviously when you are asked for user name and password, you will use your current ones.

Even though you have an Email account with Hotmail, you still have to set it up in the DroidX. It's a simple procedure.

First, open up the apps drawer (the triangle on the bottom center of the screen)

Second, if necessary, scroll down to "My Accounts" and tap on it.

Next, tap on "Add account."

General Settings is pretty self-explanatory.

In the Incoming Server, just plug in the information I gave you. Same with Outgoing Server.

This will set up your Hotmail account on your Droid X.
