This isn't no rant about the Droid X. I love it but i can't print from my Droid X to my Printer, which is a HP LaserJet CP1525nw color. Get my specific printer out of the way, you can't print period from Droid X to a printer without dling an App from the Market. Now lets get on with my problem. I downloaded an application from the Market made by HP itself and still can't print. I think they Droid X needs an update with the new gingerbread that will allow it to print off a wifi network. I also Downloaded some other applications aswell it doesn't work, My printer is shared and everything, just says no printers. Now i thought i can print from it so i went at a war with my brother who has a IPhone and he can do it fine. Only options to print the pictures is through retailers which is kind of lame.

The fact that your Droid X wont print using a 3rd party app isn't a "flaw" of the Droid X as you have put in the subject line. I use the paid version of Printershare and don't have any issues printing to any of my 4 printers. If you have an issue with the HP app maybe you should contact HP. But no, Android OS does not nativerly have printer drivers to print to any printer.

I also use PrinterShare but I send it to a PDF file (verses right to my printer) so I can have a copy of the exchange as well.

It's a 100% a flaw if the Droid X itself can't print.
It's not a Flaw considering that the app or as you said, 3rd party doesn't work. BUT it is a flaw that the phone itself doesn't have drivers or anything that will allow me to print without using a 3rd party. That's a Flaw. This isn't a rant about the Droid X. But the Iphone supports it why can't the Droid X

I'm not going down the road comparing what the X can and can't do compared to the iphone. That horse's been beat into dog food by now.
Let's agree to disagree. You CAN print with an X using an app. You call it a flaw. Everyone else can call it "downloading an app".

Ok...Let me put this in perspective... If you go by a 3rd party remote start on your vehicle and then when you press the remote start button and the alarm doesnt start the car, does this make this a issue with the vehicle and you concider the car dealer to fix it? I would understand if Motorola, Google or even Verizon reported that the Droid X was suppose to print from device, then I would say that it is a flaw or bug that needs to be resolved but no one claimed that this was a native function, so how is it a device issue?
Why do so many users buy a product that never reported to do something and then complain when the device does not do something that it wasnt designed spicifically for? I just cant get it...
And just because one device does have this function does not mean that all devices are to function the same way, if they did what be the reason to not just carry one device since at this point they will be all the same.... Read My Sig PLEASE..
