Okay I am trying to choose between the Storm 2 and the Droid X...been reading all sorts of reviews and articles and all of that, but am really really confused...it seems the Droid X would be best for what I want but I am afraid it is too complicated for me....the main drawback to the Storm 2 is not as many apps and alot of problems texting...but all this Froyo talk and all of that makes me kinda scared, this is NOT a cheap ohone and I don't want to get something I can't figure out...will be my first smartphone so someone please help me figure out what I should do...l.

The Storm 2 is oooold news. You won't have to worry about Froyo problems with a new X because they come with froyo and there's no compatibility issues from an upgrade.
And there's plenty of info on using the Droid X. Even "Droid X fror Dummies" is available.
I highly recommend the Droid X over the Storm 2. In fact, I insist on it...)

Thanks..now another question...should I go with a new one or certified pre-owned? Cause if I get a new one, it will be from Walmart.com cause they have it alot cheaper, but if I go pre owned I can order it today from Verizon and have it by mid week...I am really anxious to get my new "toy": also where can I find Droid X for Dummies?lol

I agree that the Droid X is the best way to go and a far superiour device, now as for the option of a new or pre-owned device either would be able to work well but a new device is a better way to go in my opinion but it is a judgement call, I am sure either one will work well for you because a Certified Pre-Owned service usually goes through the same testing stages as a new device before sold, so it should work the same.
Now as for the Droid for Dummy books, you should be able to find them in a number of stores like Best Buy, Walmart or any large retail place that deal in phones.
Here is a link from Amazon.. http://www.amazon.com/Droid-Dummies-Computer-Tech/dp/0470903198/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=12879...
