Suddenly my HTC Incredible has lost the ability to send or receive calls or texts last night. I uninstalled my normal text app (Handcent) and tried using the standard texting app only to get this error:
sms error
cause code: 32773
error class:3
Everything else seemed to be working, but after re-starting the phone I lost the ability to pick up any service at all. I was using WiFi, and then switched to 3G. My roommate was able to get service just fine on his Verizon Droid phone, so I don't think it is an issue with the towers. I tried factory re-setting the phone this morning, but I had issues with the phone freezing when it came back on (right after the Droid sound) and I still could not get service so I could not re-activate the phone. Additionally, I have had the same issues with "low memory" following the latest update as many other HTC users seem to have had.
Hi forkisbetter,
I'm sorry to learn of the issues you are experiencing with your phone and the inability to send/receive text messages and/or calls. The error and issues outlined on your post are usually caused by a 3rd party application conflict and get resolved with a factory reset; however, since you continue to experience issues even after factory reset you may need to consider a phone replacement.
