someone please bail me out here my incredible is able to find and connect to a local wifi spot but is unable to complete the process due to the phone not recognizing the security certification. the only info that i can get is the following from
view certification: message- "certificate not from trusted authority"
issued to: common name
organization: the go daddy group, inc
organizational unit: go daddy class 2 certification authority thx

That sounds more like you're connected to the internet via WIFI, but unable to connect to the website due to a certificate problem. Try connecting to a different website.

i have the sam eissues with any website.
i have used wifi in hotels and other hotspot with no issues. it is only this one hotspot.

is it possible they use WEP security? not sure if i even know what i'm talkin about, but it appears the phone only supports WPA and WPA2 security types. i know that with wifi, there is a WEP type of security that is an option, when setting up a network. i really don't know anything about this stuff, but my "theory" is that the hotspot you are trying to access may be using a security type that isn't supported by the phone.
