Hallcp, have you tried to have that phone replaced under warranty?

Even if a phone was fine in every way, but overheated as you describe, it would get a fast ride to the store for a replacement. Period.

Good luck, Geri O

I don't swim the vast sea of geekboy sites (well, not much, anyway, LOL), but I'm pretty interested in reading up on the X, including issues and I never saw the overheating one.

Good luck in getting a satisfactory replacement. I agree about the Galaxy. Not for me.

it wasnt other sites i have seen several posts up here with people saying thier's ran hot ....some days i wont have any issue and some days it seems like every few mins i feel it heating up at first i thought it may be from heavy web use but thats not the case it does it while texting which shouldnt have the cpu overworking and just a simple card game and things like that, also it does do it on occasion out of the blue while asleep.

To add my 2 cents to this on-going issue, It's been roughly over a month since I updated to 2.2 and the random freezes started to come up, I've done soft and hard resets, but since doing them, I've paid close attention to my phone right before the freezes starts, I noticed several times it would freeze and be in operable after I used the mp3 player for a long period of time.  it looked like a screen freeze most of the time, so I got to thinking perhaps the if i turned off the auto-rotate screen option this would do the trick and somehow it has for now, been going on 5 days without a hitch, perhaps the auto- rotate is bugged and needs a replacement.  I don't know, I could be wrong, I'm hoping someone out there can find a definite fix for these freezes, I'm brainstorming so we can one day not have any more freezes period.  But if its freezing, try my method, you cant enjoy the auto rotate but at least your phone won't freeze!

This would be nice to see but it appears every device I know of have a freexing stages.... Android, BlackBerry, Palm, Windows Mobile and also the other device that starts with a "I" that I care not say :smileywink:::smileywink::smileyvery-happy:, but I would except a more stable device than what I have been having lately.

LOL, I guess your right wildman but maybe it will help not to freeze as much when you have the auto-rotate screen option turn off, less freezes, its like a comp. the more stress you put on it, eventually it will freeze. Turning off the auto rotate maybe relieve some of that stress, thats my theory behind it.  :manhappy:
