Why do some of my FB friends pics show up in my phone contact list, but others don't???
Because you need to have the exact name that they have on their FB profile.
For example, my name is Michael Rodriguez. But if I put on my FB profile that my name is Michael A Rodriguez, then you would have to have your contact card be written as Michael A Rodriguez as well. Then after you've correct it all, just go to your FB app, Menu>Settings>Sync Contacts. Restart your phone.
If that doesn't work then one by one go to the person's contact card, click on their portrait. Wait for the little mini contact tray to pop up (If you're on the Droid), go to their FB profile, have the image load and it should be loaded and will automatically change to their contact card from now on.
My FB contacts are sync'd with the droid. For some reason when my brother calls, someone elses picture is now displayed on the phone. She is cuter than my brother but i would prefer to have it not display any picture when he calls. I did not have a picture associated with his number. And I cannot find a way to delete this other persons picture from my brothers contact info on the droid . When I go to his contact info, there isnt a picture there to remove.
How do i remove the wrong FB picture for just one of my contacts?
BTW- The droid phone is awesome. I upgraded from the BB Storm and Verizons is the best service.
Did you confirm that it isn't the correct picture on the facebook account?
I believe what happens is that anyone you are friends with on facebook who has a mobile number on their facebook account automatically gets added to your contact list, and uses their default profile pic. You will probably notice that you have some duplicate contacts as well, due to different spellings of names, etc.
I have modified my contact names to match those on FB exactly - when I re-sync'd and turned off my phone, only 2 more pictures showed up. When I go the the contact non-pic and wait for the tray to come up, there is no FB link there. I have hit the sync thing a couple of times...... is this a bug??? I really can't find a common denominatior. One of the pics that DID sync - the name isn't exact nor do they list a mobile phone number on FB. Ugh. The pics would be really nice to have!
