Facebook on Droid X & Camera

I looked thru the forum first and what I mostly saw was the issue with notifications.

1. I am not getting any FB notifications unless it if it's an email message sent via FB

2. When I go to FB either via the Browser or the App on my Droid X it  won't give me current status, it will give me posts from 12 hours ago, then 17 hours ago, then right below it will say 3 hours ago and then again go back to 17 hours ago, it's almost impossible to get the current updates.

I had a BB Storm before this and I would always get my notifications via email and on my BB.  I have a week with my X and like it but I miss a lot of messages and info that I used to get via FB. Does anyone know how to get this fixed?

Also the pictures on my Droid are horrible!!! I've played with the settings and everything and  they look very grainy.  I'm really surprised since it's an 8mp camera and also since the camcorder is amazing. Any fixes on this?

Thanks,

Solange :smileyvery-happy:

Do either of  you have a google account setup? This is needed so that your apps can sync with your phone. The steps to add a google account are below.  As for the picture resolution you may want to go down a size.  I have included the steps below.  Try changing the setting to  medium. Hope this helps!

  • Touch Begin.

  • Touch Next.

  • Touch one of the following options:

Create a Google Account

  1. Enter the following information then touch Done (located in the lower-right).
    • First name
    • Last name
    • Username
  2. Touch Next.

  3. From the Type a password and Confirm password fields, enter a password then touch Done.
Note The password must be at least 8 characters.

  4. Touch Next.

  5. Enter the appropriate information into the following fields then touch Done.
    • Security question
      • Favorite food?
      • City of birth?
      • Best childhood friend's name?
      • Highschool name?
    • Answer
    • Secondary Email
  6. Touch Create.

  7. Review the Google Terms of Service then touch I agree, Next to continue creating the account.

  8. Enter the appropriate characters then touch Done.
Note The characters that appear in the following image are only an example.

  9. Touch Next.

  10. Configure the following location settings then touch Next.
Note Enabled when a green checkmark is present.
    • Allow Google's location service to collect anonymous location data. Collection will occur even when no applications are running.
    • Use My Location for Google search results and other Google services.
  11. Touch Finish setup.

  12. To restore data (e.g. contacts) using Backup Assistant, enter the appropriate PIN then touch OK.
Note If Backup Assistant has not been previously setup for the 10-digit mobile number, touch Skip.
Note Backup Assistant setup can be resumed after completing initial setup by navigating Applications tab > Backup Assistant from the home screen.

  13. If applicable, touch an existing service (e.g. Facebook, MySpace, Yahoo! Mail, etc) enter the appropriate credentials (e.g. email address, username, password, etc.) then touch Next.
Note If presented, review the Terms and Conditions, touch I agree then touch Next to continue service setup.
Note Repeat this step as necessary to setup additional services.

  14. Touch Done adding accounts.
Note Account setup can be resumed after completing initial setup by navigating Applications tab > My Accounts > Add account from the home screen.
