Why are you skeptical? The manual update is already available and the OTA is supposed to be rolling out now.

As for fixing issues, 22D isn't going to do much as it's only 1.3MB in size. The only thing it does is make Flash visible in the market and adds a couple security changes for activesync

Heh... can you blame me? One can't believe everything they read out there nowadays.
But yeah, after looking at a few forums, looks like this is official. Since it's such a minor update, I think I'll wait for the OTA.

Do you happen to know the details of the security issues being updated with Active Sync with this upgrade?

OK, horrible picture, sorry. The only other camera that I have here is the webcam, so I just held the camera in front of it and did a screen capture.
I had a small issue after the update with Exchange mail not pushing anymore. Deleted my account and re-created it, now it seems to be working fine.

I downloaded and installed the patch last night. Installed the release version of Flash. I have not noticed any difference at all verses the FRG01B. The beta of Flash work perfectly for me. The only persistant issues my Droid has are the random dropping of WiFi and the black screen after a phone call ends. Both seem to be happening with less frecuency since the first upgrade, FRG01B.

FRG22D is already rolling out OTA. I got it last night. It is the official final release of 2.2. It's a very small file that doesn't overwrite the FRG01. It installs over it so you can see the flash player in the market. Although, Beta version works fine and it's a much smaller file.

Sure, how about straight from Verizon: http://support.vzw.com/pdf/system_update/moto_droid.pdf
They are pushing a 1.6 MB update that brings the FRG01B to FRG22D.

Still waiting for FRG01B .... Will I not get FRG22 until I get 01B first?

yeah, I'm pretty sure you'll need FRG01B first since 22D is just a small patch rather than a full update. Make sure you don't have a task killer installed and then go to settings-about phone-system update
