FLASH PLAYER 10.1 & FFG22D

Would someone be kind enough to explain what the flash player is and what it does for the droid phone?

I got the update and installed it, but as far as I can tell, the flash player is just wasted software. Everything on my phone works well. I play games (no online gaming), I read my papers, send and receive great animated jokes. Check the weather, watch the radars, and everything else one does on their droid. So what is the importance of downloading the FLASH PLAYER????

I HAVE NOT downloaded the player, and don't think I will.

Thank you

Flash is not all the hype its made out to be.  I would have rather seen Verizon & Motorola fix some issues people are having with the Droid and 2.2 before worrying about Flash support.

Personally I use it to watch videos I can't watch with an app or YouTube. Like yesterday on my N1 I was listening to Adele's Cold Shoulder on MTV.com, and it was through flash. I couldn't get that Video on YT because of copyright issues.

Have you ever loaded a web page on your home computer and then loaded that same page on your DROID? The page may look totally different, and i am not just talking about the smaller version of a page. Any web page with heavy flash content would cause the phone to break the web page down into an miniature version of what it should be. Well now you have flash, ( if you choose to get it ). Web pages look like web pages, the blueberries taste like blueberries, the snausages taste like snausages. lol.  Anyway, that is flash in short. You can also go to Kongregate.com and a number of other flash heavy pages and play what else! Flash Games. Today a lot of video requires flash to be able to see it.
