We have had our phones now for a week and was looking in My Verizon home but find no where to add the extra insurance is it something we have to call for.
It is typically added at the time you purchase the phone(s). You do have 30 days to add the insurance per line, but I believe you have to either go into the store or call customer service to add it once you've bought your phones.
Yes you are right AFguy. Coming from my opinion....I don't feel like insurance is worth getting if you are the type of person to keep the phone protected
Unless you have an extra phone laying around that you could use if something happens to your phone, then I would recommend purchasing the insurance. Your manufacturer warranty is not going to cover you if you drop the phone in the toilet, it gets run over by a car, your dog chews it or it gets stolen. It's a small price to pay when you think about the fact that the phone is over five hundred dollars full retail cost.
