is there any softwares that allow us to edit and copy contacts on the Droid phone?
I'm currently using the futuredial suite smart phone edition. It works very well for my motorola droid.

Since the contacts are synced with your Gmail account, you can edit/add contacts, combine duplicates etc, while logged into Gmail on your PC.
Gmail also allows you to export and import several different file formats such as CSV and VCard. You could export to a csv, import into your favorite addressbook, modify, change, add, esport back to csv, then import into gmail if you wish to do so.
