How do I turn off the vibrating notification when email comes in.

I would suggest looking in the settings of the Email application itself.

I tried that. I went to Settings_Manage applications-Y! Mail -It shows Hardware controls...Control vibrator...      but you can not "click" on it to turn it off.    I tried hitting the "hard button" menu, but nothing comes up.

You can disable the vibrate feature, But its for all notifications, Not just email, If you go into your notifications settings, You can change that.

I tried that but it still vibrated when the emails  came in.  Smiley Sad  Even the guy at the Verizon kiosk in Costco only knew about that so I thought we had it licked until about 10 min later and bzzzt  bzzzt!!  Aaaargh!!!
