I have a MacBook Pro and when I connect my DroidX to my computer via USB cable it doesn't even recognize that it's connected. Any ideas why?

I restarted my phone and now it will acknowledge that it is plugged into my computer but I get an error that says that it is not readable by my computer. So I tried to use media share and it told me to change the USB mode to "Memory card management". I tried and this is not an option of what it allows you to set it to. It allows PC mode, Windows media sync, USB mass storage and charge only. My computer gives me an error on PC mode and USB mass storage where it can't read it. How do I fix this?

Clicking on USB Mass storage should solve the problem (I have a MBP as well).

Do you have a task killer? If you do, go down the list until you come to the USB line. Hold on it and a pop up menu will appear. Click on "Ignore."  I had the same problem, but with a laptop PC and had to reboot if I wanted to connect the two, until I did some reading on task killers. I now have my USB as being ignored. Also, make sure your in "mass storage." Your Mac will see your Droid as a removable disk and you can swipe files back and forth between the two.
