Droid X with 2.2 and old problems. Had it been fixed?

I originally owned DX for less than a week when it just came out but returned it because I couldn't live with its constant restarts and low ringer volume.

I was told that Froyo will address those problems. 

I would like to ask two questions about those matters:

1. Are current DX users that upgraded to 2.2 see any improvement in the ringer volume (I read some conflicting reports from different users on this blog) and is the issue of the restarts was addressed?

2. Does anyone know if future ordered DX will be automatically with 2.2 or is that would have to be downloaded through OTA upgrade?

To answer the first half of your question, Yes

They have increased the speaker volume considerably. I can now hear my phone ringing from across the apartment. I would say its comparable to a Droid 1 volume wise

As far as future devices shipping with 2.2 preloaded, I do not know

Thank you for your quick reply. What about reboots? Has the phone still reboots? Or is it been fixed as well?

I have not seen my phone auto reboot yet. When and if it does I will let you and the world know.

No reboots here and noticeably louder ringer/alert volume.  Think you are safe to purchase one now.

Constant restarts are NOT a normal part of the X's operation. You should have exchanged it for a new one. My only issue from day 1 was the low ringer volume and, yes, that has been addressed quite nicely.

If the X didn't rock before, it certainly does now...
