My computer sends an error message stating it can not recognize it. Anybody know how to correct the issue?
Thanks!

To answer the OP question when do it happen? When you plug it in, or when you try and mount it?

I corrected the issue 50%. Now when I plug it in, I pull the top drop down menu and switch it to "USB Mass Storage".
However, I can pull up folders, but I cant edit contacts or calendar like my blackberry with Desktop Manager.
Does the Droid X offer a program similar to edit contacts and calendar ?

You need to use the applications that are associated with the calendars and contacts that you have setup on your phone. If you are using Gmail accounts, then login to Google for those. Same with Microsoft Exchange, use Entourage to update calendar and contacts. There isn't one program that does this.
