I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for extending battery life on the droid x. I've got app killer, ive got my phone on battery saver, and the battery still seems to die quickly. Any pointers? Thanks in advance.

Other steps to reduce battery drain would be to:
- use a static background (as opposed to a live wallpaper, if you have one set)
- turn off all haptic/vibrate feedback
- set brightness low to medium (as well as shrink the timeout time before the screen goes black after non-use)
It won't extended your phone beyond a few minutes/hours (depending on relative phone usage), but every little bit helps until Motorola, Verizon, or someone else releases a larger battery.

Sometimes it takes a few battery charging cycles for the battery to work correctly.
Just make sure that you fully charge the battery when its time to charge it.

You could buy the external battery for the phone if it is available. That should extend the battery life. There is also an app in the market called Power Manager Full for only 99 cents. That should extend your battery

I have a question for you. Do you use APP's and if you do did you just get the free versions? If you got the free versions then they have advertisements. In order for theses to work they have to access the internet to download updated ad's. That means more battery use. So even if one App is up and your not using the internet/data the App may still be doing that.
