Droid Use Questions, change fonts, set to silent at night, save vmail password

I bought the Droid because accurate typing on the BlackBerry Storm screen was very difficult.  I love the flip keyboard, navigation, and many of the great features, but it seems like development folks forgot the basics.

How do I:

.  change the font for e-mail?  It's too small for me to read without glasses.

.  set it so it is silent at night except phone calls?

. program my v-mail password so I don't have to type it while driving?

After three trips to the Verizon Store, where they know about as much as I do, I'm about to return the thing.
