Over the last two weeks, my Droid Mini (Android 4.4.4) has been running with unusually high CPU usage. Usage is often in the 90-100% range, making the device unusable and draining the battery. I installed the Cool Tools app and am actively monitoring -- when the CPU spikes, the process with the highest usage is always "irq/350-wcd9xxx". After a factory reset, the problem persists. Has anyone else experienced this or do you know what activity/service "irq/350-wcd9xxx" relates to?

I have the exact same problem. Did you ever get an answer to this?
My research seems to indicate that irq/350-wcd9xxx has something to do with the headset, perhaps headset detection?
I am thinking maybe a short in the 2.5mm headphone jack?
