Droid 2 Global does not work in Trinidad.

My new droid 2 global worked fine (both data and voice) when I left Houston but will not work in Port of Spain in either voice or data?

For most advanced devices, Data Roaming must be enabled to access data.  To check this setting on your Droid 2 Global please follow these steps:

Enabling data roaming may incur roaming charges.

1. From the home screen, select the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Data manager.
4. Select Data Delivery.
5. Select Data roaming.
   Enabled when a green check mark is present.
6. If presented and if agreeable to possible roaming charges, select OK.

Wow, so if you get it to work on either GSM or CDMA it is $2.89 per minute!   If you are there for some time, get a local SIM, e.g. http://www.mrsimcard.com/s-digicelpos.html. for about 50 cents per min.  Note you would need to get Verizon Global to unlock your phone, and you would have a different phone number.
