I have a verizon plan for my husband and I's Iphones. OUr son is in need of a phone, and I have a chance to get a droid 1 smartphone for cheap. How do I go about seeing what types of plans are available for it, what it will cost me additionally each month?
Assuming you are on a Nationwide Family Share plan, your son's phone would be $9.99 plus taxes and data would start at $30 for 2 GB. Or you could switch your account to the Share Everything plan. If you have a different plan than a Nationwide Family Share, costs would depend on the plan (assuming you can add a line).
Also, just how cheap is cheap? The Droid 1, though a great phone for the time, is old and underpowered for the latest releases. If you are starting a new line anyway for your son, you can get subsidized pricing, and you can get some android phones there for "Free" and some very recent ones for $100.
