For some reason, there suddenly seem to be shortcuts enabled when I am texting. For example, when I press "g" it takes me to my email inbox and stops my text (ie I can't use the letter "g" in any text at the moment). The same thing when I press "p"...it takes me to the Pandora app. I don't know how this feature got enabled and I'd like it to stop! Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

In describing the issues you are having, there was no information like what kind of specific device you have in order to assist. It also would help to give any additional information that might shed more light on the matter such as any steps you may have used thus far to try and resolve the issue.
Thanks,

I'd be willing to bet she has a Droid2, ya know, since she posted in the Droid2 forum... Anywho. My input is I would check under Settings in the texting app (or whatever app you use for texting) and then in the settings for the Keyboard under the normal settings.

The Droid 2 comes with preset shortcuts for the keyboard.

Thank you everyone - I fixed the problem. Seems like the search key was "stuck". And yes, I have a Droid 2.
