Anyone know how to retrieve deleted text from the droid 2?

Unless you had a SMS backup application installed and saving a backup, there is no way to restore a deleted text message.

Lookout can backup your call log, contact and pictures. It doesn't backup text messages.

I heard you can buy a S.I.M. card reader at Radio Shack.
Then you download a program on your PC and plug in the device.
We'll see. If it works I'll reply.

The DROID 2 doesn't have a SIM card in it unless it was the DROID 2 Global version. Even then, that SIM card is for international travel usage only and isn't active in the USA while you are on the Verizon Wireless network.
The SD card might have the messages, but ONLY if you had a SMS backup application installed and saving the messagesto the SD card.
