DEAD MOTOROLA DROID!

I used my Droid a bit today, but no more than usual. A little while ago, I noticed that the battery was yellow, so I set it down in an effort to not waste more battery. Not even a minute later, I grabbed it to check something and the screen was unrepsonsive. So I slid out the keypad, still nothing. I longpressed the power, nothing. I figured it had just died so I connected it to the alarm docking station. It wouldn't turn on or charge.

Finally, I took the battery out and put it back in and connected it to my computer. It immediately turned on.

It's working fine now but...I don't want this to happen again.

I NEED ADVICE! My 30 days are up on the 27th and until today I was feeling confident about my purchase...but now I'm not so sure. Any help is appreciated! But I'm definitely going to the store tomorrow to speak with a technician.

depending on what was running, some things will drastically drain the battery like keeping your gps and user location activated as well as the background data (all found in your settings.

however, if you are really upset by this then take it in, better safe than sorry. but first try doing the same thing: let your droid run to the yellow, make sure you havent made any adjustments, keep everything the same, if it repeats, exchange it.

Stay calm :smileyhappy:

Your warranty is for 1 Year, if there happens to actually be a problem with your particular phone, you can still get it replaced, even after your 30 days.

That is also assuming that the phone doesn't void warranty of course (liquid damage or physical damage). If it does warranty won't cover it. Insurace would though...

Just curious if they make any extended life batteries for this device.  I know it might make the phone more bulky than it already is...but some people may really want it.
