Pretty self-explanatory: as of about an hour ago I can't get apps to download successfully. Anybody else have this problem?

Are you getting any type of error when you try to download applications from the Market?

For those not aware, the EE4 update has prevented access to certain Apps in the Android Market. As an example, HBO To Go was fully compatilble and downloadable to the Charge, at this point you can't even see it in the Market and if you use your computer to try to download it to your phone, it will tell you it's incompatible. It unquestionably is compatible because people that have it on their Charge after the EE4 update, have it running perfectly. This is just a question of trying to download certain apps that you could before and can't now.
So EE4 broke something in the Android Marketplace.

There may be two problems here.
There's another thread about how EE4 broke the ability to install some apps in the market--for example, Documents To Go. If you look that up on android.market.com, you'll see its listed as compatible with the Charge--so you should be able to try to install them, but the install may fail.
However, HBO GO is listed as NOT compatible with the Charge. Same with MLB At Bat 11, Touchdown License Key, and most of GameLoft's titles. For these, you can't even try to install them; in the market app, you can't even see them.
This, I beleive, is a problem introduced when Google implemented hardware compability filtering in the market. I installed MLB At Bat 11 before filtering was introduced, and also the Touchdown key. To make matters worse, the MLB app has an update--and I can't get it! Note that It works flawlessly on the Charge, so there's no reason to block it.
The way the hardware filtering works is like this: Each app includes a manifest about itself; part of that is a list of what device features it uses. Each of these can be listed as required or not (e.g., if not required, the app will check to see if the feature is available, and will not allow those functions if not).
On the other side, each device model needs to provide a list of what features it supplies. In the market a comparison is made between what the app needs and what the device has; if any of the required features isn't provided by the device, it's deemed incompatible.
VZW--Can you please look at the device capabilities for the Charge? Lots of cool apps are unavailable because of this flaw!
