Can I talk and surf the web with this phone?

Member

My husband and I are in the market for new phones, thank goodness. This is our top pick so far for phones. I see where they say the HTC Thunderbolt is the only phone that you can  talk and surf the web on with Verizon. Is this true? I have seen posts and videos of people saying you can do it with other phones on Verizon. Is it possible with his phone?

Also, how many people actually use the HDMI slots? How many really want a front facing camera? Neither of these make or break a phone, but I would love a phone that could do both that doesn't cost a fortune.

The Thunderbolt is the only device that allows data and phone use at the same time on 3g and 4g but all other 4g devices allows this option ONLY when thehy are in a 4g connection...  Now as for the Droid X or any other 4g devices the option is not avalible because the hardware does not support the dual connection option..

I used this all the time to play video through tvs when visiting friends and familty but the Thunderbolt I have now doesnt have a HDMI and only supports DLNA which works well with the supported devices.

I use mine for video confrences and also to trouble shoot my customers systems in Africa that doesnt have remote desktop configured, they can point camera at system and this way I can see exactly what errors or showing and walk them through the process of resolvng..  Its easier when you can see the issue.

Thank you very much. We do have DLNA capable tv, but I guess the HDMI slot would actually be better because then you can physically connect it to tv's that are DLNA capable.
