Camera gallery files unreachable via USB

I am trying to get a video I took from the camera gallery to the video file.  I have connected it to my laptop and dvd player via usb, but the camera gallery does NOT show up so I can't access the camera files.  Does anyone have any advice?

Hello Mauro! In order to use a USB cable to transfer files from the Droid X to a computer, you have to make sure that the Droid X is in "Mass Storage Mode". I recommend restarting both the phone and the computer, then use the USB cable to connect the phone and computer. Look at the phone's display. You should see a pop up asking what you want to do now that the Droid X is connected to the computer. Select "Mass Storage Mode". It may take a few moments for the computer to detect the phone. When it does, you'll have the option to explore the contents of your phone's memory card (and thus the videos).

It's unfortunate that when your phone is connected to your computer with a USB cable, the SD card becomes "invisible" on the phone. However, as stated above, when you select "Mass Storage", your SD card becomes another drive on your computer. Click on the new drive and scroll down to the file labelled "dcim". Your videos and photos should be in that file.
