I just switched from the original Moto Droid to the Charge. With the Moto Droid I would add an address into my calendar and when it was time to go there I would bring it up in the calendar and hit the address link, that would take me to the maps. I really miss this feature. I hunted around and can't find a setting to enable it.
Does anyone know if it can be enabled? If not, is there a calendar app that will still sync with my Google calendar but allow the linking to the map?

I also just upgraded from the Droid to the Droid Charge. Just yesterday I spent several minutes in confused frustration trying to figure out why I could not just tap the Address in my (Google Calendar) Event and have it spawn Google Maps. This is a GOOGLE Android phone, right? You also can't select the address to copy it manually into a Google Maps search. COMPLETELY LAME!
I will have to get into the habit of ALSO setting up an EMAIL reminder from within Google Calendar. THAT at least gives me a live link that I can tap-click.
Wow. Verizon and Google need to become better friends.

This answer may not satisfy, but you can embed a map snippet in the event details, using Google Calendar and Google Maps. You need to edit the event, add an address to the "Location" field, and then click on the map icon. Thereafter, the map snippet should show up in the details of the event, accessible by clicking on the event item in a calendar view.
