Earlier in this thread someone mentioned that the update to Android 2.2 (Froyo) was going to be minor and not worth getting. Well, I beg to differ! There are a number of issues with the Droid X - low speaker volume, random reboots, 3G wireless hotspot dropping the connection, a bug with GPS or something causing massive battery drain, etc,, that hopefully the Froyo (2.2) update will correct.  [Edited to comply with Terms of Service]

 

So, I think it most definitely WILL be worth getting!

FYI the Motorola Droid X forum is down with "serious system errors".  I also picked this up from a post on the Android Central Forum, just posted.

Really, thanks for all your interesting posts DJ.  This forum is really interesting for us old  geeks.

Yeah...i was just being "smart" looks like it backfired on me.  After I posted, i realized i've seen your name on the MOTO forum too and figured you may have been talking about "that one".  Pride (and a little laziness) kept me from editing or deleting it.

 

Besides...us "old" Geeks have to stick together.
