Browser inserts a Trailing space after an underscore when trying to login to an account giving a result like fred_ smith instead of fred_smith. Makes it impossible to log in to one of my favorite forums.

Are you using SWYPE to enter the ID ??? If so, SWYPE auto-adds a space when you lift your finger after entering text.

No Swype involveed. Entering firstnam, underscore, lastname no spaces and no commas into a UID box followed by a password in a pw box and hitting submit. I comes back as no match with a space inserted after the underscore. I can go back and edit out the space and re-submit.... Same-o Same-o.
Same phone hardware same UID box same uid that worked under 2.1 now inserts a space under 2.2

Thanks for the response. I did the above after the 2.2 upgrade and that appears to be what initiatied the problem I am experiencing. I will re-execute p34 you4 ei43dion qgof3.
The previous time I lost all data.
I think Backup Assistant backs up my Contacts.
In ColorNote there is a backup function that I have executed.
Can you tell me if the Colornote backup puts the notes and todo lists out to the SD card?
I noticed Backup References in the factory reset menu the last time. Can you tell me what that backup process entails? where does the Data go and what data is included in that backup process?

Strange Stuff
First Factory Reset caused a Trailing space to be inserted after an Underscore character in a Login box for a Website
Second Factory Reset resolved the Trailing Space insertion issue.
