I have just received my Droid X mobile device (GREAT phone). But my http://www.bang-olufsen.com/earset2 Bluetooth will not connect to the phone (had no problem with my Motorola Q). I have contacted Verizon Wireless as well as Bang & Olufsen. B&O has told me that the problem is with the Android OS, because they haven’t changed there software in more than five years. I was wondering … am I the ONLY one out here with a Droid X phone and a Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth? If so Verizon I need your help in working with Bang & Olufsen so I connect my wonderful Bluetooth with my wonderful phone! THANKS!!!

Sorry, but they just upgraded the Android OS. Now to your problem. Did you make the Droid discoverable so that you could pair your earpiece to the phone. If not...Menu...Settings...Wireless & Networks...Bluetooth Settings...Discoverable. Tap on the box with the check mark so that it turns a bright green. Now the phone is discoverable. Make sure your earpiece is on and in a discoverable mode. On the Droid, tap on Scan for devices. If it asks for PIN, it usually is 0000. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I did that. Still didn’t work. I had no problem connecting my Motorola H720 Bluetooth.

Then it sounds like a compatibility issue. I would contact the bluetooth manufacturer again to see if they have an upgrade. As far as them telling you that the Android OS is five years or more old, that just isn't true. It was upgraded a short while ago.

I think the OP meant that the BT software was five years old.
