So having read a lot of stuff, it seems that there are still battery issues with poor battery life.
Standby Time: Up to 280 Hours
per spec
My phone can not last more than about 12 hours with data on. My friend has the phone.. sitting on the counter over night after being 100% charged... it is dead by the morning.
Usage Time: Up to 660 Minutes
That's 10 hours of talk time.. there is no way.

I have seen this a lot in other posts and experienced it myself. I travel quite a bit and what I have noticed is that quality and strength of signal have more to do with battery life than anything else.
Yesterday I took it off the charger at 8:30 am. I checked email, played Angry Birds, texted my wife a couple times, took a couple short calls, played some more. I pretty light usage day for me. At 1:00 am I still had 69% battery left when I put in on my charger.
Earlier this past week I was changing out to my spare battery by late afternoon. I was in different locations all week. It may seem random, but like I said I really feel that signal strength and signal quality make or break this battery. I don't have full bars at home, but the quality of the signal makes the battery last. It's a good solid 3 - 4 bars anywhere in the house.

Agreed.
I have serious battery life issues, and worse yet, they are highly varied and random.
Took the phone to my cousin's wedding. Took over 250 pics and 30 videos....including an extended video of the vows because my mom was too ill to make it. I also made numerous calls and utilized Google navigation/GPS for an extended period. I recharged it briefly between the ceremony and the reception, but thatts it. worked like a charm! 1am and I still had battery power. (not much, but still...) This is definitely not the norm, however.
Another day though, my Charge was plugged in till it told me to unpug it due to full battery. It then sat on the table next to me, screen dark and unused, for 2hrs or so. When my son texted me, the phone chimed...but the screen stayed dark. When I checked the text, the battery bar was already over 1/2 way down. I texted him back, called my mom for just under 6 min....and the phone started beeping low battery!
IThe phone is less than 3 weeks old, and I live in fear of being stranded with no phone 8(

Same problem here. 8 hours of battery life max with minimal use, one brief call and no more than 10 minutes of data usage. I bought the extended battery and it's a whole lot bulkier but not much better. I recently received the Charge in exchange for a defective Fascinate which consistently missed incoming calls, thankfully not an issue with the Charge.

My battery life seems to be pretty good. I even played 9 rounds of Lets Golf 2.

Here are things I do. When leaving the phone sit for long periods, unused by me, I bring down the notification page and turn off the Data and Wi-Fi.
Maybe, even more important, if you are in an area that has NO phone service, or service that moves between one bar and no bars, shut down your phone completely because it will keep trying to connect and that uses lots of battery power continuously. We discovered this when we were in out of the way places in our MH.
