With all this technology, is there an app that will send all "alerts" (txt, email, phone, music, blah blah blah) to my Plantronics BT Pro+ earpiece? I want the phone itself to be silent and all activity to be transfered to my earpiece. Surely this is possible. There are times when the people around you do not need to hear your phone "alerting" you to an incoming event (meetings, etc.)

Okay, I have played with the app "Voice Alerts" today and it's not quite what I was hoping for. Nor did it work very well, under the circumstances.
I set the app to toggle on and off with the bluetooth headset. Occasionally, I stepped out of the headset's range, then back in. Voice Alerts would get confused and change the toggle feature from toggling with the headset and just turning on the feature. And sometimes after it announced a call, I would answer the call and neither of us could hear each other. I haven't had that problem before nor since. I'm going to play with the app some more, but it doesn't do what I was looking for, which is to simply transfer the notification tone and ringtone from the phone to the headset. It "announces" the call, message, or alert, then it will read the notification to you, if so set to do so.
Jury's still out...

Does it also transfer the email alert? I appreciate your help.
I was using Vlingo, but it doesn't Play well with the new earpiece. Google calendar is constantly syncing and returning error messages. It also makes the phone sluggish and is hungry for juice.
I don't mind paying, the ear piece wasn't cheap and I'd like to max the benefits of the technology.
Thanx

I got the free version of VoiceAlert and loaded it up! I agree, most of the hard work is done. Now if they'd only try the customer experience and hook up som Ai. I'd love to hear a sweet gal's voice (I'm a male), that actually could be understood. Like the house app on Eureka (did I spell that right?).
They are close to what I want. Thanx for your help.
It is very feature rich - your right.
All this technology....... soooo close ;-(
Thanxdad

Actually, I saw a voice package in the app market somewhere that is supposed to be a nicer-sounding voice than the voice on the app. Gosh only knows if I could find it again.
