Any one have problems with random reboots proven on certain apps?

I have had my x since November and I have enjoyed it a lot, but over the last few months I have had freezing issues and reboots after freezing. I have used led apps like droid light and led light and both have caused my phone to hang and reboot. I had not installed them both at the same time but both have caused reboots. Needless to say they are installed but it still would hang once in a who'd and reboot, every few days. I did a reset through the os and it still did it, but not as often. So then I decided to do a hard reset and clear cache, and wipe data/factory reset. Its been a few days and no problems yet. The stock home launcher has always lagged when swiping from screen to screen so I use adw launcher and that helps. I have kept apps that I install to around 10 to 15 now. My question is the lag on stock launcher normal and is the reboots an issue with apps or the phone itself. Thanks in advance for any info. Its been a while since I've been here.

It's SPB Shell 3D. Yeah, it's $15 bucks, but I tried it and I like it a lot. I was already familiar with the SPB stuff, so it wasn't an agonizing decision.
I haven't noticed any lag with SPB itself. Anything that lagged before still does. It does seem to decrease battery life a little, but not enough to affect my habits.

I've only had mine a few weeks but so far I've had only 1 or 2 reboots.

I use launcher pro, not because of any lag but because it allows the homescreen to turn landscape.

I'm actually surpised I haven't had more reboots, when I installed better keyboard on my Droid 2 it rebooted almost daily, it doesn't do that on the X.

This is kind of like the man that reports to the doctor that his leg hurts when he hits it with a hammer, if you know the outcome of dong that then it may be wise to not do it.  Dont use the app if you identified it being the issue or contact developer and see if they are open to look into the issue.  This is my best guess on a solution. No App Is Perfect...

The stock 2.2.1 Blur launcher has a bad lagging issue ftom time to time, I usually use ADW and I havent had any issues with this subject...   Also you can check out SPB Launcher it is so smoove and really gives the devise a diffrent feel.

This is not the first time it has rebooted. It has done so every so often since I had it. It has been occuring more often over the past few months and its not that uncommon to here of random reboots, I read through some of the threads about reboots and it either one thing or another and its not always the same apps that cause it, some have reboots with. Camera, I had them with led appps like droid light and led light. I still had reboots after uninstalling those apps. I read that people say its usually the apps that cause the problems but which ones. What ever it is one thing seems to be consistent is that the phone hangs or freezes and then reboot. There are always updates for apps, maybe some of the problems are with the device itself. Hope the next android version for the x fixes the reboot issues that has been happening. I know all phone will have some bugs and flaws and there will never be a perfect worry/problem free phone, that's what updates are for. The problem is some, if not all, manufacturers and carriers are slow to update their devices. Don't get me wrong im not bashing the x or Verizon because both have been good for me. I've had better than average service as far as network connectivity and the x is an overall great phone. If it is apps that cause most of the problems I would like to know which ones someone I cab stay away from them, sometimes the comments in the market are helpful but not always. Like the phone and can't see myself with any other phone, at least until the new phone with gingerbread come out or hopefully a gingerbread update for the droid x, not going to hold my breath

I was checking out spb and all I found was spb shell, is that the one? It seems kind of high for $15. It does look good but a couple of droid x reviews report lag, do you use spb shell and if so is it good? Thanks

The thing about updates, or any new software, is that app developers have to play catch up. Consider the Xoom tab and how apps for it were scarce at first because of that.

I dread Gingerbread coming to the X because of the potential for even more app conflicts.

Call me a pessimist, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I don't need my boots unlocked and I don't need Gingerbread.
