I honestly don't know much about Blackberry.  I know that Android has an app store with over 11,000 apps.  It has wifi connection and google maps with navigation.  I have read about an app that can turn your phone into a metal detector I don't really understand how except that there is a magnet locator in the phone that helps with compassing and the various docks will put the phone in certain modes based on magnet locations.  Interesting thing there.  It does social networking and communication and it is fast wicked fast.  Since it is based on open technology there are tons of developers out there and they are constantly changing and upgrading things.  I don't know how much of that blackberry does but mostly it seems blackberry is more of a business platform than a fun personal platform.

No the Motorola Android is not like a Microsoft phone, at least they run on different Operating Systems.

Motorola Android = Android OS (http://www.android.com/)

"Microsoft" phone = Windows Mobile OS (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/meet/default.mspx)

iPhone = Mac Operating System (http://www.apple.com/macosx/)

HTC and Motorola are just companies that make phones. The phone can have different operating systems, whether it be Windows Mobile, or Android, etc. So neither HTC or Motorola are tied to any specific OS. Hope that makes sense :smileyhappy:
