ActiveSync: Email and Calendar OK, No Contacts

I setup activesync on my Droid 2.  Calendar and Email work great.  The Contact categories come over, but the Contacts themselves didn't come over after six hours.  I removed the account and started over.  Same result.  Any suggestions?

After setting the Exchange account as the 'Default' account, I finally saw Contacts coming in.  Unfortunately, only a few hundred of my 2300 Contacts synchronized to the phone.  It turns out Motorola has acknowledged that this is a problem in the Droid 2 when using Activesync.  Check out the thread at the Motorola forums: https://supportforums.motorola.com/message/210937?pubid=987654

The gist: Motolola didn't use the Android Activesync piece and home-brewed their own. There's no solution for the Droid and sporadic synchronization of Contacts, but they expect to announce one on the forum thread on Monday, August 16.

What good is a great phone like the Droid 2 without a dependable phone book?

Here's hoping for a good answer to the problem on Monday!

I called VZW and they transferred me to Motorola support.  They told me; "At launch, Motorola DROID's native exchange solution doesn't support password security policy or remote wipe."  They also referred me to this site for instructions on how to configure and exception on your Exchange server if you have authority to do that.  https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/39440/related/1/session/L2F2LzEv...

In the meantime, i am just using TD which they even suggest using on this site.  I hope this is not the anticipated fix because I don't think many companies are going to allow this.
