Can anyone tell me how my buddy just got the 2.2 upgrade on his DI and we share the same area code and we don't live that far from each other?"all i got is a rock" aaaarrrggg!!!!

The update is either random or by MEID/IMEI.  Geography, purchase date, and other things are not a factor.

yeah...what framcire said. i know of a wife who got it one morning and the husband got it 2-3 days later....lol that had to be KILLING HIM!!!!

It is done randomly.Even a verizon employee on this forum stated it is done random

Software updates on DROID devices will be completed in a phased approach, based on Area and ESN ranges. Not all device will be updated at once, due to network impacts. You will receive a notification on your handset when the software update is available for your device. :smileyhappy:
