Here is my story thus far.

 

Two days ago I canceled my Incredible order for the X, rep said No Problem.

 

Today I tried to order it at 12:45, the rep said no problem, he got 99% done with the order and said he couldnt do it yet because is wasnt 12:00 in his time zone yet, and noted my account with manager authorization.

 

Called back at 1:00, a clueless/dumb rep said that there is a procedure for this, and i would have to wait a day while my account gets reviewed.

 

Called back at 1:30 in hopes to get a professiant rep, he said it goes off of Pacific time, and he is not able to do it untill than,

 

WTH Big Red, train your people better. I'm trying to give you my hard earned money, you're not doing me a favor.

I just got mine ordered and had to argue slightly about the overnight shipping, but not too much and got it free. Both phones will be here by 10:30 am Friday. I will say this is the best customer service I have had with Verizon! Good luck to all on getting your phones and thanks again for all the help I've received on this board.

 


Darn, I should of said that my previous rep offered overnight... oh well

Final update, Rep told me this is tech support only, and to call back during normal hours. If I wouldn't be stuck with a bunch of fees, I would go with Sprint and get the 4G IMMEDIATELY. Long time customer with a $200 monthly bill is very ticked!

Well, I had good luck with the person I talked to this morning. Her name was Annie. I explained what had happened when I called in last night and without me even having to ask, she spoke with her supervisor and he approved the upgrade. She said they had no record of the email that was sent to me, but since I was only a month and half out from my yearly upgrade, they would go ahead and do it. She approved the instant rebate, but made me pay for the overnight shipping. Which I'm ok with, after all, $8.99 isn't that bad. That way I get it tomorrow versus next week.

Chubbs:  Sorry you ran into trouble, I'm sure that the support line fielded TONS of calls about the Droid X order.  I wish you had dealt with the lady who processed my order.  I don't recall her name, but she was VERY professional and went above and beyond to help me.  She is truly a jewel within the VZW employees.
BDawg:  Glad they could get you straightened out, I figured the actual sales department would straighten it out for you.
