I have been experiencing super slow download speeds (11 to 20 kbps). I have a Pantech Verizon supplied wireless modem (Aircard) working on a MacBook. Good connections in this area, full bar strength on the modem. The VZ Access Manager statistics area graphs speeds much higher than my Safari browser download manager actually reports when downloading a file. I thought perhaps there was some software running that was siphoning bandwidth but my computer's activity manager does not show any unauthorized activity. Airport is off, Bluetooth is off.
Me too! I am new to Verizon having been an Alltel customer for many years. My download and upload speeds are as bad, if not worse than dial up. Tech support is no help either! While they are friendly, they seem to know very little about what the real problem may be. I can't offer any suggestions, other than to say you're not alone! Hope things get better for you...soon!
