Wanting to know how to keep track of my usage without going over.

You can keep track on line at www.verizonwireless.com  and loging into my accout.  You can also use your vzacess manager to check data and see it that way as well.

And supposedly the VZ Access Manager is supposed to have the most accurate usage data...

There's a usage meter on the access manager.  When you connect, it pulls that info. in and allows you to view.

When looking at the VZAccess Manager or on Verizon website watch the dates. It can be up to 4 days off. Right now mine is 3 days behind.

Be warned the data useage report is rarely if ever accurately up to date. It's not like a phone where you get realtime minute consumption reports.
