I am trying to access the web interface of a Wireless Extender for Business. When I attempt to connect to the default address (192.168.1.10), I am not prompted for a password and get a page which says Error 403-file is protected. I connected the device to my network and allowed it to pick up a DHCP address, and when I go to that address, I get no response at all in a web browser.
Any idea what's wrong?
Thanks!

Use the Internet Explorer browser (units web interface is browser sensitive it seems) and https instead of http. Either https://192.168.1.10 or if the unit has already gotten an IP address from your router than look up the mac id in the router table to see what was assigned and then use that address....
Too bad they never mention https in the manual...

Why are you trying to sign into the NE in the first place? There really isn't anything to configure other than the phone number priority list. These devices are designed to be plug and play.
NE User Guide:
http://support.verizonwireless.com/pdf/network_extender_user_manual.pdf
See Page 6 for more info:
Note: The Network Extender can be managed to ensure Verizon Wireless
phone numbers you authorize will always enjoy priority access to the
Network Extender network. For more information, see "Quick Setup"
on page 3, or view the online Setup tutorial at:
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/accessory?action=gotoSetup
• Manage Access: Authorized account users can manage access
settings for their Verizon Wireless Network Extender by logging into My
Verizon at www.verizonwireless.com.
– Up to 50 Verizon Wireless cell phones can be registered.

The NE for business web interface allows considerably more configuration options that may be required in a corporate network environment.

Oh I see, there is an entirely different NE just for business use. Thought we were talking about the consumer version which does not have as many features. Thanks for clarifying.
