Do I Need Global Ready Mobile Card in Puerto RIco/US Virgin Islands

I currently have the basic USB mobile card (the cheap not Global Ready one). I will be traveling to Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands and I am wondering if I will need a Global Ready card?
